Exigent welcomes Premier Mechanical to the Exigent team!  Premier is located in Lima, OH and provides HVAC service to commercial customers from Toledo to Columbus to Cleveland. 

Premier folds into our Ohio operating company Smith-Boughan, substantially boosting our Midwestern service business and expanding our customer footprint. 

This acquisition proves out the value of the Exigent platform to support the growth and capabilities of all our operating companies, and to offer customers integrated mechanical solutions.  Together with our private equity sponsor Huron Capital Partners, we will continue to drive growth in the combined Ohio entity by investing in their technology, equipment, skills training and working capital.

We’re delighted to announce that Greg Gernert has joined the Exigent Team as Chief Financial Officer.

Greg is a highly experienced Finance leader.  He joins us from Kelso Industries, a mechanical services group that has grown to $1 billion through more than 20 acquisitions in only 2-3 years.   Before Kelso, Greg served as CFO at three other mid-sized companies in construction, industrial contracting and manufacturing – including private equity owned companies. 

Throughout his career, Greg has demonstrated the ability to effectively integrate and scale financial skills, business processes and systems. As we continue to rapidly grow the business at Exigent, we look forward to benefiting from Greg’s experience and leadership. He comes into a business with considerable momentum and a team united in its purpose to build the best group in mechanical services.
