Building the Future of Training at Exigent
When Exigent was formed, one of our biggest long-term commitments was to create a training platform that not only supports our people but clearly sets us apart in the industry.

Our union partners already provide strong foundational training in safety and skilled trades. Our goal is to build on that foundation with a platform that gives team members a clear path to grow, advance, and deepen their expertise—whether they’re new to the field or looking to level up.

After an initial launch effort 18 months ago, the program has gained momentum thanks to stronger internal support, leadership from our Service Council, and the addition of new tools and talent.

Here’s what’s underway:

  • On-the-Job Training
Learning directly from our experienced techs in the field—mentorship at work, where it matters most.

  • Online + Virtual Training
In partnership with Interplay, we’re rolling out a self-paced curriculum in skilled trades and safety—some enhanced with virtual reality for hands-on simulation.

  • Learning from Internal Experts
We’re tapping into our own Subject Matter Experts in boilers, chillers, VRF, controls, and more. Sharing this in-house expertise makes our entire platform stronger.

  • OEM & Third-Party Training
For advanced learners, we’ll continue offering manufacturer-led and industry trainings that support deep specialization.

Looking ahead, we’ll expand this platform to include leadership development, project management, field supervision, and training for administrative teams—with certifications and guided learning paths on the horizon.

It’s a heavy lift—but it’s what our people deserve. And it’s just the beginning.

Sales Momentum Continues into Fall
The sales team has continued a strong run of closing work, closing above group sales budgets in August and September, including a tremendous 60% above budget in September!  At the end of September, we had six consecutive months of above budget bookings for the group, which is a tremendous accomplishment.

Unfortunately, we fell short in October, so our above budget streak came to an end, but November is a new opportunity to start a new streak.

New Sales Tool: Pardot
As we continue to evolve our Salesforce platform, we’re excited to introduce our latest enhancement to the product, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka Pardot), which will be implemented in early 2026.  The Salesforce Marketing Cloud seamlessly is integrated with our Salesforce Platform, allowing for strategic and customized customer engagement through sales and marketing connections.  The program will allow us to automate business development campaigns for new customers, follow-up on open quotes and segment our customer base to better market our products and services to customers that are not utilizing our full suite of Integrated Mechanical Services.  This is a major step forward in helping our sales teams to open more doors and touch more customers utilizing the power of Salesforce.  We’re excited to share updates and results of our efforts utilizing this new, powerful tool.

2025 Employee Engagement Survey will take place from Nov 12 – Nov 21. Watch for the link coming soon!
